Thank you for visiting my little corner of this vast Internet. With millions and millions of website, blogs, news sites, hobby and personal sites, I’m sure you’re saying, why yet another one? Just more “trash” on the Internet.
Well, truth be told, I just wanted to have the opportunity to share my thoughts, experience and knowledge with the rest of the world (or at least a very few). Within this blog of mine, I will have articles that will talk about news and events, current affairs, I’ll talk about technology on a whole, give some computer help with issues that I have encountered or that some of my colleagues have encountered, and I offered some assistance to them. I will occasionally talk about BlackBerry devices (I love my Bold), and other smartphones, if possible.
Within this About page, you can also get information about my professional life (read a bit more) and current information about my experience and any other pertinent information regarding my career. I will try and post as often as possible to keep you all interested in coming back. If you would like me to write an article about a topic you’re interested in, then feel free to contact me at any of the many ways listed below, and I’ll see what I can do (already have some requests).
A Little About Me
As you would have guessed by now, my name is Kirrin Jones, and I’ve been working in the Information Technology (IT) business for over 16 years. 4 of those earlier years, I was mostly into programming (COBOL, Pascal, FoxPro, FoxBase, dBASE, C++). I have however been out of that side of the business for over 10 years now.
I’m currently a Systems Administrator, and deal completely in networking (LAN, WLAN), disaster recovery and data backup, Exchange messaging servers, firewall servers, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, ISA Server, Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/7/2008 operating systems, data preservation and network security. I enjoy my job and the knowledge and challenges that it brings with it each day.
I do enjoy sharing what little knowledge I have accumulated over the years, so feel free to get in contact with me if you so desire. I do run a small consulting firm, that offers my knowledge and experience for a fee.
