Planning Storage Capacity for Your Exchange Server
As a Systems/Network Administrator the hardware that you configure for your Exchange server is one that you’re hoping to get at least 3 good years out of it. Its very dishearten, and in some cases annoying to have to go back to your boss within a year to say that you need to upgrade your storage capacity. This can affect your credibility with your boss (especially if you’re new to the organization or your boss). I will try to give you a bit of advice based on my experience and how I went about calculating storage capacity and some measures that I put in place to maintain the ability to have my users get their e-mails, while staying within the physical storage limits.

Deciphering Non-Delivery Reports (NDRs)
In our work and personal lives, we send or receive at least 10 e-mails per day, some people send at least 5 times that amount and receive just as much. With all those e-mails zipping around in cyberspace and hopping from e-mail server to e-mail server, there will surely be a time when someone will make a mistake or a server will be offline and the result is what is known as a non-delivery report (NDR). I will try to help you to decipher what a NDR is and what should be done.
